Introduction to the Journal

International Journal of Contemporary Humanities (IJCH) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access international journal focusing on the arts, humanities, technology and  cultural studies, as well as interdisciplinary research. The journal aims to become a leading international academic  platform in the arts and humanities.

 IJCH is an online publication. It publishes original research, creative work, and critical commentaries on key issues in arts and humanities.  Submissions may include conceptual or theoretical studies, case studies, or review essays.  Submissions in art-related fields may also encompass artists' exegetical writings, interviews, critical essays, historical documentation, and book reviews. 

The journal welcomes submissions from scholars in arts and humanities disciplines, including media studies, philosophy, psychology, public administration, sociology, social welfare, linguistics, literature, performing arts (music, theatre & dance), religious studies, visual arts, visual communication, women studies, anthropology, communication studies, cross-cultural studies, education, industrial design, information science, international relations and library science.  

Manuscripts for this journal should be prepared in accordance with the submission guidelines of the journal. The journal announces several themed issues each year; however, submissions on any topic within the scope of the aforementioned fields are also welcome.

Any manuscript submitted to the journal must not have been published in another journal or be under consideration elsewhere. Papers presented at conferences may be submitted, provided they have not been published in the official conference proceedings. Authors  must ensure that no material submitted as part of a manuscript infringes existing copyrights, or the rights of a third party. Upon acceptance, authors are required to transfer copyright to the journal in order to facilitate global open-access distribution.

The journal is open-access journal. All content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. The journal provides immediate open-access to its content according to the principle that research made freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
