The concept of Transaesthetics is one of the most innovative forms of aesthetics that emerged following the "postmodern turn" in 20th-century Western aesthetics. Transaesthetics was coined by Jean Baudrillard in the 1980s. The notion redefines the tradition of modern aesthetics in four significant ways. Transaesthetics was coined by Jean Baudrillard and serves as a critical framework that redefines the tradition of modern aesthetics in four significant ways. Firstly, it shifts the focus from objective reality to a hyperreal condition, where distinctions between the real and the simulated blur. Secondly, it emphasizes the role of simulacra, challenging traditional notions of representation and imitation. Thirdly, it critiques the self-imposed autonomy of art, suggesting that art is increasingly entangled with consumer culture and media influences. Finally, it addresses the implications of technology and globalization on aesthetic experience, highlighting the complexities of perception in a postmodern context. Transaesthetics effectively captures the key factors such as the rapid expansion of mass media and the swift development of consumer culture in postmodern society, demonstrating a profound interpretive ability regarding the transformation of postmodern aesthetics and cultural change. The study investigates four key transformations of traditional aesthetics within the context of contemporary media society in China. By examining how rapid advancements in technology and the pervasive influence of digital media reshape aesthetic experiences, the study aims to uncover the evolving relationship between art, culture, and society. It explores the impact of mass communication, consumer culture, and globalization on traditional aesthetic values, highlighting how these changes affect perceptions of beauty, representation, and artistic expression in modern China. In conclusion, the study seeks to provide a nuanced understanding of how traditional aesthetics adapt to the challenges and opportunities presented by contemporary media dynamics.
